Cafes Near Parks and Playgrounds

Let's face it, we all need caffeine to survive the tedious nature of pushing our little munchers on swings for hours on end. So here is a list for you dear parents, of cafes that are located close by to a park and playground. Grab a take away from one of these awesome cafes and let the kids have a bit of independent play x

Amorettis - Plough & Harow Park, Abbotsbury
Western Sydney is so lucky to have this awesome park and delicious restaurant. People from all over Sydney make the trek to Abbotsbury to visit this amazing space.

The Picnic - Burwood Park
This cafe is one of the prettiest you will find in a park. The food is the BEST that you will find in a park anywhere in Sydney!! So get the fambam there now. Oh and the playground is pretty good too.

Sanders Kiosk - Cabarita Park
This great little kiosk serves up tasty and affordable food as well as great coffee. It's the perfect place to sit and watch life pass by on Parramatta River or to just grab a takeaway and head to the cool playground which is a 5 minute walk away!

Gather on the Green - Camperdown
Gather your friends, children and even your dog and sit them down on a blanky provided by the cafe on the green across the road. Sit back and relax whilst the most amazing muffins in Sydney as well as some fine coffee are bought to you whilst you are chillaxing.

Garderner's Lodge - Victoria Park, Camperdown
Start your day with a yummy breakfast at this cafe and let you kidlets have a roam around the beautiful grounds. Afterwards head to the playground and then head up the stairs to Sydney Uni to have a wander around the grounds of our beautiful University.

The Tea House - Camellia Gardens at Caringbah
Located in beautiful garden where you can feed the ducks, play hide and seek as well as play in two playgrounds, the Tea House is a great spot to grab takeaways and an icy pole to enjoy in the sunshine.

The Lakeside Kiosk - Nurragingy Reserve at Doonside
This reserve is amazing as it is home to a decent kiosk, 4 different playgrounds (including a splash park) and an incredible Chinese garden plus loads more!

Deli in the Park - East Lindfield
With a birds eye view over the playground in the park, this cafe is an ideal spot to enjoy coffee with friends whilst your little ones are safely playing in the park or climbing a tree.

Fox and Bird Cafe - East Ryde
If you sit at an outside table at this gorgeous little cafe you will be able to see your kids in the playground. Or if you prefer to keep a close eye on your lil darlins, grab takeaways and sit on the park bench in side the fully fenced playground.

Kellerman's Cafe - Enmore Park, Enmore
There's a pool that offers child minding, there is a lovely large sunny park, there is a cool playground with an awesome rocket ship and there is a super child friendly cafe....what more do I need to say?

Livvi's Cafe - Livvi's Place Five Dock
This is a brilliant all inclusive playground that has a delightful little kiosk like cafe right next to it serving up Campos coffee. The playground is full enclosed and has a diverse range of equipment for kids of all ages and abilities.

The Tuckshop - Glenhaven
"Glenheaven" is now home to one of the best cafes in north west Sydney. Dine in or take away and grab a blanket and head on over to the park to make the most of the sunshine.

Sapphires Cafe - Glenmore Park
What a gem! A great cafe located smack bang next to a pretty cool playground. Kids of all ages and abilities can play whilst you enjoy a bit of "time out" in the cafe.

41 on Maple - Greystanes
A sweet little cafe that serves up the most incredible milkshakes and it is located right next to a park - you're gonna love it!

The Hidden Jem - Kenthurst
Oh you will like this cafe - whether you dine in or take away and head across the street to the delightful park you are in for a treat. With excellent Tobys Estate Coffee, cute cupcakes, friendly service and delicious tucker, it is worth the drive to this lovely suburb.

Flying Fox Cafe - Mona Vale
This cafe is smack bang next to one fabulous playground, so you might have to get takeaways have them in there whilst the kids have an absolute blast!

Melaleuca House - The Australian Botanic Garden at Mt Annan
It is 5 lollipops all the way for this lovely cafe set in the Austalian Botanic Garden. With enormous space to run around, a huge fenced playground, as well as bush walks and bike tracks, this is the ultimate cafe in a park!

Armory Wharf Cafe - Blaxland Riverside Park, Newington
The ultimate playground with the ultimate cafe. Everyone loves visiting Blaxland Riverside Park. The cafe is set up specifically with families in mind and we love the owners for it.

The Dragonfly Cafe - Eden Gardens at North Ryde
You can easily lose yourself and your little ones in the gardens of this amazing nursery/lanscape centre. Don't worry your littlies will no doubt be mucking around in the cute playground, just listen for the squealing kids and you will soon find them.

Parramatta Park Cafe - Parramatta
A great cafe with great service, serving reasonably priced food. Located in the middle of the large Parramatta Park you can easily waste a whole morning here running around, spying on bats, chasing birds, flying kites, playing in playgrounds and visiting historic buildings. A must do when you visit Parramatta.

The Pig & Pastry - Petersham Park, Petersham
Located directly opposite lovely Petersham park, the Pig & Pastry is the perfect spot to stop in for refreshments before or after your play. And if you can't find a seat just grab some takeaways and find a seat in the park.

Queens Park Shed - Queens Park
This cafe received a big fat 5 lollipops from team Little Munch. The food, the ambience and the huge park make this a must visit for you all!

One Six Nine Cafe - Randwick
Opposite the delightful Alison Park in Randwick, Cafe169 is an awesome kid friendly cafe with it's own little play area, serves awesome coffee and some very nice sweet treats that you can grab to go and take to the playground in the park!

The Kokoda Cafe - Kokoda Memorial Walkway at Rhodes
This cafe is a nice little spot to refuel whilst you have a wander along the Memorial Walkway. With playgrounds, scenic views and wonderful monuments to our fallen soldiers, a visit to this cafe and park is the perfect outing for the whole family.

Nield Park Pavilion - Nield Park, Rodd Point
The location of this seriously kid friendly cafe is picture perfect. There is a huge patch of green grass for kidlets to run crazy and also a small playground right behind the cafe.

The Local Shed (formerly Mezze Bar Cafe) - Mungerie Park, Rouse Hill
A fantastic playground located next to the amazing Mezze Bar Cafe - and my favourite thing is that there aren't any swings for you to mindlessly push your little ones on!

The Grounds Keeper - Ryde Park, Ryde
This is a Little Munch favourite - an awesome cafe smack bang next to a play ground, located in a beautiful park with a bocce pitch and also a rugby field or two - and as we are now a rugby playing family, I do a little happy dance each time we score a game at Ryde Park.

Vertical Espresso - Balmaringa Reserve, South Turramurra
Just across a lane way from an awesome playground this cafe serves up brilliant coffee and one oh so cute kids menu! Whether you eat in or take away and head to the park you are in for a great experience at Vertical Espresso.

Cafe at WatervieW - Bicentennial Park, Sydney Olympic Park
Bicentennial Park is one awesome park that has playgrounds, bike paths walkways and a cafe! This would have to be one of Sydney's most popular destinations for a family day out at the park.

Tama Cafe - Tamarama Beach
Located between and a park and a beach, Tama Cafe is my idea of family nirvana. Kidlets are more than occupied with everything available for them to do and the coffee and superb!

The Incinerator - Halstrom Park, Willoughby
Wander about 50m down the street from the cafe and you find a fabulous nature based playground as well as loads of green space and a scooter path!

Cafe Els - Caroline Chisholm Park, Winston Hills
Across the road from this shopping centre cafe, you find a cute little park. Either grab takeaways and head on over or use a visit to the playground as bribery to make your kidlets  sit still in the cafe, whilst you gulp down your must needed brew.
